Kate Dawson

Kate is a senior editor with an extensive background in network TV and documentaries. Her work has screened at major film festivals such as Rotterdam Film Market and Austin’s own SXSW. Kate served as a news producer for CBS and Fox News Channel. Her directorial debut, GoldRush.com, sold to ABC’s Nightline in 2001 as a two part series. In 2005, Kate’s third documentary, Grass Ceiling, screened at Chicago’s Women in the Directors Chair Festival, and then followed with a short theatrical run. Kate is on the faculty of the University of Texas School of Journalism, serving as faculty advisor for the ABC News On Campus digital bureau.
